After doing extensive research on the "sleeve" procedure, and reading thru 100's of testimonials about Dr Almanza,his staff, and the whole process in general...I decided to go thru with it, and let me tell you, if you're seriously considering it, but still unsure...DO IT! Everyone I met with were extremely courteous and professional,and being in another country that I've never been in, I never felt uncomfortable. Most of the people you interact with are patients that are there for the same reason, so it was a pretty smooth transition the first day I got there. The hotel is nice and clean, I paid for the room, which came to about $58.00 american dollars per night. The tv situation isnt the best(only 2 english speaking channels) and the wi-fi isn't that great either. I highly suggest to get one of the "hot spots" that are available at the hotel, very reasonable, around $3.00 per day,allows you to at least stream movies on netflix. There's one thing that I highly highly recommend, FOLLOW THE PRE-OP!!!!!!! There were a couple of people in the group I was with that had a really difficult time right after the surgery with stomach pains. I felt absolutely fine. I've lost 37 lbs so far in just over 3 weeks. My main reason for doing it had to do with my health situation, and If you just think about the long term health benefits, it's a slam dunk, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!!!!!!!!
