I first want to share with you that having this procedure done, was one of the best decisions I ve ever made. It exceeded my expectations in every aspect of my life. I have to tell you that I know it was not an easy decision, just like many of you, I was really scared but I m so glad I did it. I also want to add that although I was overweight, my self-esteem was not that bad. In case that some of you may be thinking that losing weight is a goal, but you feel different because you really feel okay with yourself, let me tell you this completely changed my life.
It was not easy, I didn t follow instructions the way my doctor explained to me before and/or after so it was a little more difficult for me to feel better right away, but I did eventually followed orders and look at me now. The look is a bonus since the main reason I did it was due to health. I mean, I was only 33 years old when my I developed acid-reflux, and I was at pre-diabetic. My back hurt all the time and I couldn t even go one flight of stairs without running out of breath. I couldn t even play with my kids without getting so tired. I knew all of these problems could just be stop if I wasn t so overweight. I said to myself, I can t believe I m only 33 and already with signs of arthritis, no way I said. So my friend told me about this surgery and thank God we both decided to do it together, but even if it was by myself, I still would have go head and done it. Since my surgery I m back to my weight prior to having my first child. I feel and look a lot younger than my age. I run with my kids and play sports. I have so much more courage now that I decided to pack my things and move to a total different state just myself and my kids and started all over. I know my weight stopped me from a lot of dreams I had, but now I know I will never be fat again and if anyone of you feels that your over weight has been stopping you from reaching your goals, then go ahead and do this, you are in good hands and all the staff at Dr. Almanzas is great and they will hold your hand from beginning to end.
