Okay if you are trying to decide if you should have WLS or not hopefully I could help you out a little bit. I was one of those who had doubts about getting my gastric sleeve. When I first started thinking about it I was 215 pounds which was in 2012. I ate myself until I reached 260 pounds and I decided I need to do something. I've tried every diet known to man and I exercised often. Not to mention I even had a personal trainer and I still wasn't losing weight. In November of 2013 I had enough. I called Dr. Almanza office and talked to Merdac which was the coordinator there and I talked his ears off. He answered all my questions and encouraged me. I booked my appointment and flight instantly. I still had doubts that the surgery wouldn't work for me, or I wouldn't have a successful journey. I joined the sleevers website and met some amazing people there that helped me and kept me motivated while on this journey. When I got to Mexico everything was just what they told me it would be. I was blown away. Dr. Almanza himself was even nice. Before he performed my surgery he told me that I would be smaller than him lol. Well that was in February of 2014 when I was at my all time highest weight of 260. Now it's July 2014 and I am at my lowest 186. I can cry right now because I'm still losing and feeling great!
