I'm a skeptic, I don't believe anything I read on the internet so I won't blame you if you don't believe me......but I was desperate. I finally had enough with my weight. I've been heavy, thin, heavy again, not quite thin but smaller and of course back to heavy. I was at the my heaviest four years after the birth of my second child. I went to my local Dr's office and was told that I was obese but not enough to qualify for insurance. They happily showed me how to fill out loan paperwork for $17,000.00. I was scared about making the trip to Mexico, no doubt about it. Everyone who knew I was going called me insane for even considering this option. Well it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The trip was just as it's described on the website. Fly to San Diego, they pick you up, have surgery, stay awhile, and go home. No complications and no problems. The doctors and nurses were very professional and the establishment was clean. I swear the Mexico facility was cleaner than the doctor's office here in the States. I have lost the weight and it's been over 2 years since surgery. I'm happy again, I don't mind my picture being taken anymore and I can look at myself in the mirror. The reason I got so heavy in the first place is because I simply ate too much food. I didn't mind exercising, but when I was done working out, I was starving and I would eat twice as much to compensate for the workout. What I love about the sleeve is that I don't over eat anymore. I'm full and satified with just a little food, half a sandwich. I don't even need the fries anymore because there just isn't room in my stomach and they don't sound good anymore. (Before surgery, I probably could have went to a meeting about a french fry/potato chip addiction :) I haven't really worked out much either, my life is busy. I have a husband, children, and activites all the time. I have an office job where I sit all day, but the weight has stayed away because I just don't eat like I used to. If you're anything like me, you will read a ton of testimonials, even watch a few videos on youtube about the trip to Mexico, then you will somehow talk yourself out of making the call. I talked myself out of the trip fifty times before I picked up the phone and made a call. The person on the other end of the line spoke perfect English (I really appreciated that as I was scared communication would be an issue). Thats when I decided I was going to pull the trigger and book a flight to San Diego. It was a new beginning for me and I have no regrets. I would do it again in a heartbeat and I have recommended the trip to some of my friends. I know the skeptics out there will have thoughts like me......Is this legit? Is this a scam? Are these testimonials real? Is this safe, I have children I need to get home to? Am I really going to pay for a surgery in Mexico before I actual go? Am I seriously considering Mexico? To me these were the thoughts that kept circulating in my brain. I would really question your sanity if these thoughts weren't going through your brain. Watch some video on youtube, they really helped me. I'm glad I went and got my life back.
