I arrived in Tijuana on the 2/27 and was offered the surgery the same day. My weight on 2/01/15 was 254. Immediately before surgery my weight in the gown only was 234lbs. On Friday 03/06/15 my weight was 224. I have not been this below 225 in over 10 years. I will weigh in again on 03/27. Dr. Almanza and his staff at the hospital are the best. They all made me feel comfortable. The drivers too were also awesome. The hotel was very accomodating plus I my room was very nice.
If I had to do the surgery over again I would choose Dr. Almanza. I have been following the postop instructions and I must say I have no complications whatsoever. I am healing nicely. I have to deal with the fact now that I can no longer eat like a horse. I get filled up real easy plus none of my pants before the preop diet fits anymore. They are all too big for me. Also since the surgery I heard that I do not snore much nor as loud as before. My sleep apnea is being fixed

I am awaiting the transformation to get goal weight and also to make my appearance at the beach this summer. Oh before I forget, the other patients or individuals who did the surgery the same day as myself was an awesome group. We bonded and supported each other. People from Canada, Texas, Missouri and other states.

I saved a whole lot of money going to Mexico to have the surgery done compared to what NY and other states wanted.

Thank you Dr. Almanza and the entire team. I am very grateful and it was worth it. I am looking forward to the new me.
