The decision to have the procedure took me 6 months to research, evaluate and make a final decision to move forward. Since that time, everything that I have experienced with the surgery has gone just according to plan. The trip to the facilities in Mexico was uneventful, followed the advertised schedule exactly and was a very good experience with the other 12 folks who were scheduled with me. I am now postop 3 months this week, and down 35 pounds. I feel better, my energy levels are high, and the pain in my knees and back has been reduced significantly. I continue to lose about a pound every other day, have not been hungry and have adjusted to the new diet requirements without incident. I just completed a 2 week trip to Europe and was able to continue to lose weight even thought I was not at home and was eating from unknown hotels on an adhoc schedule etc. I would recomend this procedure to anyone that has struggled with weight loss for an extended period of time, is older and has all the issues that come with dieting and advancing age.
