So, my heaviest weight was 288 which is a lot for a 5'5 19/20 year old. I definitely needed a change. I decided that abruptly in a Victoria's secret dressing room when everything I tried wouldn't fit over my shoulders one night and told my parents my decision. It was right before thanksgiving and I decided thanksgiving would be my last supper before going on a diet in preparation for the surgery. So, after thanksgiving I started to tighten up on my eating and make the arrangements to go, and the earliest I could get in was January 24th with Dr. Almanza. My aunt decided to go have the surgery with me and her friend, who has severe health issues, decided to go too! And all three of us went together and pretty much one after the other.
I can't be thankful enough to Dr. Almanza and his team! He even listened to me about where I wanted one of my incisions. (I didn't want my bra to bother with it and he and moved it down!) His anesthesiologist was one of my favorite and best interaction he was so sweet and kind and told me exactly what to expect and he held my hand until I passed out. A lot of people think I'm crazy for going to Tijuana, but I had a better experience there than I've had anywhere in the United states. I did have gallbladder go on me in September, about 8 months from surgery. And that was a worst experience in the hospital and in recovery than my Gastric sleeve surgery all together. If anyone has any questions after reading my testimonial you can email me at mizzlizvsg@gmail.com. I'm now down 89 pounds, only 11 pounds away from my goal of loosing 100 pounds! Highest weight: 288 Weight day of surgery: 272 Current weight: 199
