For many years I debated on weight loss surgery. My weight just kept going up and my mental and physical health was quickly failing. I live in south Alabama, so it is very hot eight or nine months out of the year, clothing enough to hide my weight was a challenge. Finally I made up my mind and made arrangements immediately and that decision changed my life. I went by myself and was comfortable with that decision. Someone met me at the airport and took a group of us to the hotel. It was a beautiful room, the staff was wonderful. The clinic was clean(I am a nurse) and that as so important to me. The nursing staff was wonderful and very professional and answered all of my questions which made me comfortable and safe. Dr. Almanza was great and so kind. I had my surgery and returned home and began to lose the weight. I have had no problems at all, in fact, I never had any pain after surgery, none at all. I had my surgery on Nov.3, 2014 and as of today, May 6, 2015, I have lost 62 lbs. I am so happy and healthy now. My only regret I As that I did not do this years ago. My self esteem is so improved and it feels good to get into smaller cloths. I went from a 3x to a med. And I am not through yet.
