I took my time submitting this testimony because I did want to jump the gun and give rave reviews of my experience only to have difficulties down the road. I had my gastric sleeve 2 months ago and I can truly say that the operation was a success and I've had no complications. First let me say that I don't take surgery lightly. I was skeptical and fearful about everything. If it wasn't for my husband getting it done, I would have never gone through with it. I'm glad he talked me in to it! This has truly been life changing. Everyone was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. The hospital is not high tech with first class amenities, but, it is clean and the staff courteous. The hotel is really decent. All our drivers were nice and professional. I met people from all walks of life. Being able to talk to them about their procedure help me not to fear the unknown (as much). There are only a few things that I did not like or would recommend to increase the quality of care: 1.) I feel there should be more English speaking staff. I am aware that the staff is in Mexico, however, all the client's I seen having procedures were English Speaking people. therefore, I feel more staff should be fluent in English to accommodate the clients. 2.) If you plan to have the surgery, pay for an additional day or two at the hotel, I feel like it's needed. 3.) The liquid that the require you to drink in order to take the x-rays suck big time and it made me literally sick! Not a good feeling after having surgery.
Overall all, this was a great decision. I feel like I had a successful surgery and good post Op care for a fraction of what I would have paid in the States.
