The surgery performed was great, the doctor sure knows what he is doing. I had no issues and have had no issues healing. The nurses who helped me out were kind, head nurse had an attitude. The whole hospital and process is very unprofessional. I as a spanish speaker had an advantage to understand what was going on but the other non-spanish speakers were very confused most of the time. You don't have a surgery time set as they do surgery on a lot of people the same day, and two patients at a time it's like your picked at random which is not reassuring. You are waiting OUTSIDE the operating rooms as you see the doctor and nurses come in and out with the surgical tools and themselves full of blood. Anesthesiologist was very creepy. They just put you in the bed and don't even let you know when they are sleeping you they just do it. There is no doctor-patient relationship established at all. You meet him like 30 minutes before surgery and after that he does a quick less than 5 minute check up, once a day, for the next two days. Seems like the doctor is just there to do your surgery and claim credit for your weight loss if you are successful. My family members called for hours to know if I was in or out of surgery and they just said they didn't know Meanwhile I was alone and in so much pain in my room for hours recovery already. The hospital and the weight loss agency literally have no communication with each other. They claim to have no knowledge of how the agency does their process. The hospital refuses to give you a medical lane pass for the border when you leave the hospital if you drive in yourself, they say the agency has to give it to you and they never mentioned such thing. They are so vague on the aftercare of the surgery, nutritionist just talks to you for like 10 minutes and gives you a 5 page document that is vague. She always answers emails with questions but yet is very vague. I'm grateful I have not had any health complications so far but if I had the chance and would have done more research, I would not have chosen this facility to get my gastric sleeve surgery. I'm sure there are other places with better overall experience for a similar price in Tijuana.
