I was originally sleeved 11 years ago by Dr. Almanza and successfully lost 90 pounds. I kept the weight off for 10 years but slowly gained about 30 pounds back. I decided to get re-sleeved with Dr. Almanza in September 2019. In four months, I have lost 20 pounds with hopes to lose 10 more.

The nurses and staff at Baja Hospital are great. If you have any needs, they are there to keep you comfortable. They are friendly and knowledgeable with top notch service. If a need arises, they will address it quickly.

Now, Dr. Almanza. I've trusted him twice with my surgery needs. He is PHENOMENAL! His bedside table manners are superb. He is friendly and intelligent. He will tell you his English isn't good but his hands are. And he's right! He is a skilled surgeon, one of the best in MX, and puts the patients need first. He takes the time to speak personally with every patient and explains each procedure. He's a real class-act.

The Hospital facilities are clean and sufficient. If you end up in a room with a view, it's spectacular of Tijuana. The hospital and hotel rooms are freezing though. Dress warmly and if you want to wash your face in the bathroom, bring a washcloth. They do not provide them to prevent any spread of bacteria to your incisions.

There is now a small restaurant/Cafeteria onsite for your loved ones traveling with you. The food is cheap and it is good.

There is also a spa on the hotel floor and their facial and massages are worth the low price for some pampering.

If you are on the fence about booking, DO IT! You're worth it and there's no better way to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle than weight loss surgery with Dr. Almanza.

If you've already booked, CONGRATS!! You are on your way to taking your life back! You won't regret it.

(I'm currently back at Baja Hospital with my mom who has just gotten out of surgery with him as well. Make the leap and go for it!)
