I can't just tell you the good, I also must tell the not so good. First, please understand that everyone has different symptoms and everyone s body will respond to pain and procedures differently. From day of my surgery for a whole month straight, I threw up every day. I was hospitalized for six days, had an EGD done 3 times since then. Just found out that I developed a hiatal hernia and will be having surgery on Dec. 12th. I have lost 75 pounds as of Dec. 9th. It s been a rough journey but well worth it again I must say! One thing about the gastric sleeve is that you can't over eat even if you want to because the stomach can t hold the access food. This was exactly what I needed, something where it controls my eating. I didn t eat a lot just the wrong things, and the other good thing about the sleeve my cravings for sweets especially chocolate is gone. I rarely eat any sweets if any only a tiny piece. I feel lighter and my clothes fit better and hopefully after the hernia surgery I am back to normal less the fat. My reason for the surgery was to be proactive verses reactive to problems like diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure and many more health issues that can come from being overweight. I encourage anyone that is struggling like I did to first see if you can lose it on your own and keep it off, if not do the sleeve, it has really been a life saver for me. If anyone that's considering it want to contact me, feel free, I would be more than happy to coach and help you through it. I am in the white pages.
