So I started the process. Weight loss agents answered all of my many questions and were very nice about it too.
I flew in to San Diego and was picked up in the shuttle van. I was a little surprised because it was an older van, but I think they are working on upgrading vans. Then I had a nice ride with a very friendly driver. I had my COVID x-ray done and then to the hospital for preliminary tests before surgery. I stayed the night in a motel, which was clean but had the hardest bed I have ever slept in.
Early next morning I was taken by shuttle van back to the hospital (sometimes other drivers park in the motel but they are not with the hospital, the van will be there).
Things moved pretty quickly and I had no time to even second guess my decision (which I do too often). If you have compression socks bring them or they can wrap your legs if you do not have them. I got ready and was in surgery so quick!
Make sure you are up and walking as soon as you can. I did not know it but there is a nice patio in back of the hospital on the 2nd floor, so it is a great place to see the city and walk at the same time. The nurses all took great care of me and most spoke good English. I was in the hospital for 3 days and then released once my drain was removed. This varies by doctor and I think by patient.
I have healed really good and feel so much better! Before surgery I didn't hardly walk around the block, now I walk a little over 2 miles every day and my knees and back do not hurt!
The only regret I have is not doing it sooner! I am so excited for this new chapter of my life and would not have been able to handle all of the scheduling and that stuff if Dr. Almanza did not have Weight loss agents to help me through the process. I highly recommend Weight loss Agents and Dr. Almanza! The picture is me before surgery, 1 week after, 2 weeks after, 3 weeks after and 3 months after. I wish you all success!
