I have had a weight problem since puberty. I have been a yo yo dieter to combat the problem. All or nothing! That was my motto. I have gained and lost the same 75 lbs over and over and over. The maintenance of any weight loss was just unattainable for me. In my closet I have clothes ranging from size 4 to size 18. Menopause came late to me and with it I hit a weight loss brick wall. I starved myself and lost only a couple of pounds followed by binge eating and gaining 20 more. I started researching permanent solutions when I realized I could no longer do it myself. I had already been on every weight loss diet imaginable. After much research, I decided on gastric sleeve surgery. My goal was a healthier life with more moderate eating habits. Having an out of control appetite, I decided the gastric sleeve was the solution for me. Again, after much research, decided to have Dr. Almanza at Jerusalem clinic perform the surgery. He's had much success with this surgery and the price was affordable. As a very conservative and sane person, not in a million years did I think I would ever consider going across the border to Mexico to have surgery. But, I did. This is not a quick fix or easy by any means but I can say that I am glad I did it. I met people there that I think I will be in touch with forever. The staff is incredible and the care outstanding. Others have had more weight loss than I have but again, I am weight loss resistant. I have lost 20 lbs and feel good. I've thrown out my top 2 sizes of clothes. Yippee!
