I have struggled with my weight for many years. I have tried everything only to get discouraged and give up many times. This surgery is the right tool for me. I have always been a large portion person and I'm an emotional eater. The sleeve helps you to get over the hump of disappointment. You can not in any way overeat, the sleeve won't let you. I have learned portion control. When I started seeing the weight fall off, it inspired me. I weighted 238 on May 2, 2017. September 29th, 2017 I weigh 166. My self esteem as gone through the roof. I am putting makeup on for the first time in years. I absolutely want to stay fit and eat right. I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I plan my meals. I always have some nuts or protein bar with me for an emergency hunger. No more fast food because I am so determined not to get where I was before. You don't realize how being overweight affects you. So many things you're not able to do when overweight. I can cross my legs, get up and down on the floor, run around and playing Lava Monster with my two grandsons. I know this seems probably gross,but you can even wipe your butt better and easier (be honest,you know what I'm talking about :)" This journey has been amazing. It takes some getting use to at the beginning, BUT I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IN A MINUTE.
